Course Overview

This course examines recent developments in Christian mission against a four-fold backdrop. First, God’s divine governance of his world is a foundational reality to be acknowledged.

Students learn to: (1)evaluate models on leadership development in the Bible, (2)distinguish factors that impact the development of effective leaders in a specific culture, (3)compare and contrast cultural leadership styles, and (4)design a leadership development process for a specific culture.

After an on campus orientation, learners will design and carry out an online research project under the direction of a D.Ics faculty member.

This course provides basic understandings in cultural anthropology for effective cross-cultural and multicultural ministries.
