Doctor of Ministry, Advanced Expository Preaching
The Doctor of Ministry in Advanced Expository Preaching is designed to equip pastors and other ministry leaders in the skills of sermon construction and public proclamation of the Scriptures by means of advanced training. Students will aspire toward increased effectiveness in multi-sensory high-impact expository preaching. Special emphasis will be on leading from the pulpit and biblical preaching with accuracy, passion, and creativity.

This program is designed to enhance professional competence by expanding upon an initial foundation of theological studies and ministry experience, to enable those in vocational ministry to enhance current strengths, address areas of weakness, and increase overall effectiveness.

Career Opportunities
A Preaching Pastor or Pastor of Proclamation is the primary herald of God’s Word during public worship services.
The primary role of Preaching Pastors is to proclaim God’s Word in an effective manner which includes edifying believers and evangelizing unbelievers. In addition, they are responsible for developing and leading other preaching/teaching ministries in the local church.

Homiletics Professor
Course Overview
An application of current educational psychology and brain research in the field of homiletics.
An exegetical approach in which students will learn to accurately mine the biblical text for the sermon’s central proposition as well as the subsequent outline and content.
Attention will be focused on developing a deep understanding of the impact of anointed expository preaching using a Bible-centric, skill-based, and outcome driven method.
A practical preaching lab requiring a step-by-step application and mastery of the High-Impact Expository Preaching (HIEP) Method.
The goal of the course is to increase a speaker’s ability to develop messages which are: True to the biblical text; Clear and well-organized; Interesting to listen to; Specifically relevant to the listener’s needs.

Entry Requirements
To be eligible for consideration for the Doctor of Ministry program, the applicant must have a Seminary MA or M.Div degree (3.0 GPA), and have full-time professional ministry experience (length varies depending on the degree).
