Doctor of Ministry, Interdisciplinary Studies

The Doctor of Ministry Interdisciplinary Studies program is intended for students who desire to personally customize their program curriculum with a focus on specific ministry skills in a variety specialized areas tailored for their unique ministry context. Students may choose any specialization seminar based on alignment with their ministry goals and desire to learn from faculty who are accomplished scholars and practitioners in their respective fields of discipline.

Course Overview

Advanced Shepherding, Cultural Anthropology for Ministry, Team Staffing, Mentoring, and Coaching or others.

The goal of the course is to increase a speaker’s ability to develop messages which are: True to the biblical text; Clear and well-organized; Interesting to listen to; Specifically relevant to the listener’s needs.

Required of all D.Min. students, this course is designed to prompt students to rethink the foundational values that drive them and to gain personal feedback from those closest to them.

Essential techniques of qualitative and quantitative research are taught and practiced. The appropriate uses of social research are explored through research reports and case studies

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for consideration for the Doctor of Ministry program, the applicant must have a Seminary MA or M.Div degree (3.0 GPA), and have full-time professional ministry experience (length varies depending on the degree).

Admission Requirements

Grace Theological Seminary welcomes applications from all individuals who have a testimony of personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior

To be admitted as a Grace Theological Seminary student, you’re asked to provide:

  • Official transcripts from the school where you obtained your bachelor’s degree. (If you are currently working on your degree, you can submit an unofficial transcript for admission until term completion, at which time an official transcript is required. Transcripts should be sent to admissions@grace.edu.)

  • A spiritual life reference

  • International applicant must provide a copy of TESOL test scores, and provide a financial certificate indicating sufficient funding for the program of study.
